To Bright Nights. Our client required a cover design for his book of poems, From Dark Days To Bright Nights. He wanted to title to be reflected in the design itself which was a tough undertaking.
The artwork we created for this book cover featured a dark, depressive scene on the left representing the feelings of that set of poems. Then as the artwork pans to the right, everything comes to life, things are bright, there’s hope, growth and enlightenment representing a positive switch in the poems and in life.
The artwork was sketched out in pencil first to include all the assets and keep things balanced. This was then developed in Illustrator creating a print ready format packed full of crisp lines and beautiful colours.
Our client was holding an awards ceremony at the Headland Hotel in Newquay so of course we created a bespoke line art interpretation of the venue to surprise them with.
We jump at every opportunity that allows us to create something integral + unique to the brand we’re working with. We could’ve just placed a photo of the venue on the design but that’s not our style.
Inspired by The Great Gatsby, this design utilises gold embellishment effects and beautiful linework to create a classy + glitzy poster that has a real presence and helps to elevate the profile of the event.
